The Lucca SC51 by &Tradition, designed by Space Copenhagen, is a rechargeable portable lamp designed to create a warm, enveloping light both indoors and outdoors.

Inspired by the nocturnal atmosphere of the Tuscan city of Lucca, its lighting and silhouette evoke an Italy steeped in tradition, with a contemporary design that looks to the past through rounded forms and a gentle presence.

The shade is made of blown glass, whilst the base and cover are crafted from curved metal and subsequently lacquered, combining delicacy and solidity.

Lucca SC51 offers an approximate runtime of 12 hours at maximum brightness and features a dimmer switch on the base to select from three light levels. It includes a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery (2600 mAh, 3.6V) and a 2.5W LED bulb with a colour temperature of 2700K. It can be used outdoors, but must be removed in the event of rain or frost.
